Audio and reply text

Tab audio, optional microphone audio and displayed assistant replies are processed locally on your device for avatar behaviour. Moviva does not log, track, upload or store your audio, reply text or anything else from your conversations. The conversation itself is handled by ChatGPT, and OpenAI stores it on its side under its own terms and privacy policy.

What the extension sends over the network

Moviva Free, without the optional emotion model, makes no network requests to us at all. The cases below are the only ones in which the extension contacts a server.

Moviva Plus licence

When you enter a licence key, the extension sends the key and a random installation identifier to our licensing server at moviva.bpt22.tech. The identifier is generated by the extension; it is not derived from your hardware, your browser or your identity. The server checks the key with Gumroad and returns a signed entitlement, which is stored on your device.

The server stores the licence key, the installation identifiers activated with it (up to three) and the times each was first and last seen. We use this only to enforce the three-installation limit and to honour refunds.

The entitlement is renewed automatically in the background every few days. A renewal sends the entitlement and the installation identifier, not the licence key.

As with any web request, the server sees your IP address. It is used for rate limiting and is not written to our database.

Avatar pack

When you press “Download & Install Pack” (Moviva Plus), the extension downloads the avatar files from the same server and presents the entitlement and the installation identifier to prove the licence. Nothing else is sent.

Emotion model (optional)

If you install “Emotion Intelligence”, the extension downloads one model file from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Nothing about you is sent beyond what any download reveals, which is your IP address. Hugging Face’s own privacy policy applies to that request. After the download the model runs locally and works offline.

Inject Role

“Inject Role” (Moviva Plus) sends one message into your current ChatGPT conversation, and only when you click the button. The message is a fixed text describing the character and how it should speak; it contains nothing about you or your conversation. It goes to ChatGPT exactly like a message you type, under OpenAI’s terms. Moviva never sends it automatically.

Purchases

Moviva Plus is sold through Gumroad. Payment details, your email address and billing information are collected and processed by Gumroad under its privacy policy. We receive the order information Gumroad provides to sellers, including your email address, and use it only for support, refunds and licence questions.

The “Buy now” and “Read more” buttons in the extension open a short link on s.bpt22.tech that redirects to the Gumroad page. The extension sends nothing with it; it is an ordinary link opened in a new tab.

What stays on your device

Your settings, the avatars and backgrounds you add, the emotion model and the licence entitlement are stored in the browser’s extension storage on your device. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

Retention and deletion

Licence records are kept while the licence exists. To have your licence record and its installation identifiers deleted, write to us from the purchase email address; the licence stops working once it is deleted.

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data. Data is disclosed only to the providers named above for the purposes described (Gumroad for licence verification, our hosting provider for the licensing server), or where the law requires it.

Who is responsible

Moviva follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
